So what has been going on for the past little while. For me alot!!! So much work that i have to do. From Tall Mouse to workin on my dads book. So tall mouse for those of you who dont know is a small craft store and i work in the framing department...yeah talk about exciting, there is never anything for me to do and it seems like a waste of time. So yeah thats all i get to do during the week. Then theres my dads book which consumes my life and i rarely get anytime todo anything fun. So there i complained and now im done.

Exciting stuff would have to be that here in yorba linda there is only 5 more days of school for seniors...about time i graduated dang 4 years of this crap. So yeah nothing too exciting...so ill try to work on stuff and post it and let you decide if its any good.

Well hi. My name is JR.

Anyways, I'd like to announce that my site has just begun/opened up.
We are a a new community, in pursuit of a great community, where people all around the world can come and get better at GFX, digital art, Web Design, etc. Anyways. I was just wondering, if you guys would come and check it out, maybe register and post your work and help out the other people by giving them advice, and great tips, tutorials etc. We plan to provide for all of those who wish to find a great amount of resources in one area, not only this we are recruiting for a CnC team, 1 moderator, a few more GFX members, and maybe an admin. We have a CnC team recruitment in progress in plans that we can help you more efficiently and give you the proper tips and things you need to work on, constructively though, at GGFX we plan to keep it clean and straight forward but we all plan on making the forums very fun and very involved with the GFX community, such as SOTW, monthly tournaments, GFX battles, collabs, etc and rewards for winning! Anyways, I'd be glad to have you, we'd be glad to have you become a part of our newborn GFX/art community.

Hey man, i noticed you said you went to LCAD. I'm looking to apply in about a year or so, as soon as I get everything straightened out. I was wondering how hard it is to get into LCAD, and what its like down there. Thanks man.

Jason
LCAD is awesome! Love it there. Its kind of tough to get in but from looking at the stuff that you have, you should be able to get in. If you do more of the skull painting or figurative drawings they'll want you. But yeah the atmosphere there is pretty relaxed, work load isnt too much and its a nice natural environment. I totally recommend LCAD. What are you thinking about major in?

Wow thanks man. That means a lot. I was looking into the illustration major or animation. I haven't yet narrowed it down. Then I noticed they had a hybrid program that allows me to study both. Do you know anything about that program.
Yeah the hybrid programs are pretty cool, I used to have graphic design/illustration hybrid but i decided to go with graphic design and have fine art as a minor, yes i know interesting combination, but fine art is my main background and i also really like graphic design. So basically a hybrid is taking alot of the classes of both so that when your a senior you have the same amount of experience in both. I dont know if i explained that right. But yeah i have a lot of friends in the animation program, but if i were you i would do the hybrid or something like it and get into some class and see what you like after a class or two if you still dont know then go with the hybrid all the way. haha

Do you know if the application process is different if you want to get into the a hybrid program as oppose to just one major?
